'07 Bali photos - VisitIndonesia

It didn't take long for me to return Bali. I always look forwards to come back again since last visit with RF in Oct 2006. It was a real bargain, considering only took less than RM700 to bring Jane plus 2 kids via "everyone can fly".
The focus of this journey was on the rich cultural land - Ubud. Whole trip was refreshing right from the exit of airport(Ngurah Rai). With original thought to rent a 8-seater Innova Toyota with RP300k/day for straight 3 days, we have push a little forward by hiring a local driver, Wayang, mobile +62 818 0540 1100) for not more than RP400k/day in which including gasoline + "instant map". It save lots of troubles eg. getting loss, looking for parking("parkir") and gasoline. We met on time and headed straight to Ubud in 30mins("o'coz with local intelligent at hand where normally take 45 minute"). With no pre-booking made, it didn't take long to check in a typical balinese style resort spa namely "Ubud Inn"(www.ubudinn.com) for RP400k/night. The family room(Only one available) is excellent to accomodate 6 of us. Just about to satisfy with such a good deal, the complaints yelled out "hot shower is not working!" from Jane. * Jane managed to reduce another RP200k for such a complaint during check-out at the front desk two day later!
The next day started early at 9am to local market place(bargain can be as 70% from offerred prices), it was fun to get what you are buying. The merchant always recall once you have turned away. I find little surprises than last visit. Wayang then brought us a local factory (I called it "shop" rather) for wood crafting stuffs. The prices were tagged extra high to my mean eyes. Next stop at Kintamani was cozy. Rice fields were juz along the way and it was the same spot that I last visited except this time with Jane! Along way to reach Mountain Batur(Kintamani) was mesmerising by local boutique shops displaying all balinese arts.
