Driving straight 6-hr jus to get to this part of the world is not a joke! It was pure thrill in over-taking piling traffic in continuously hours. By 5am, Kuala Besut in sight. Two hr later, catching the earliest speed boat was chilly yet refreshing.
Hi Pulau Perhentian, such a familiar face. A 4-yr long revisit, the prestine beach, the sparkling of water, the kind people. At this time of the year, most lodging are full and only leave a few for new visitors. My pal hitched a stay @ Alu-Alu Diver Lodge nights before online. An unfamiliar name yet neat place that meet all basic necessity. The room size of 8'x20' come with a standalone toilet. An unstable internet connection adds extra credit. Meal charges are little pricy. To add salt to wound, our room window faces a generator that power the whole lodging. A diesel one which rumble yr dream all night long & reach peak at midnight where all rooms turn on aircon.
Day 1: The Dives Site T3 & hack what the names should I call this - Dead Coral makes the scene. Impressive? Not to have mentioned but were refreshing dives. High expectation alway comes with disappointment. Fatigue may have carried forward fr last night drive. Hope a good night sleep for my body recharge. Damn, the generator again.
Day 2: Tokong Laut & Sugar Wreck. Eagerly looks for surprises! And surprise it went. Forgotten weight belt made me a scrutinized descend. A couple of nurse sharks are making love. Such a beautiful encounter. Hundred of fusiliers glittering in morning ray. All in sudden, was disoriented by the bashing waves when ascending. Followed by sea-sick. And follow along the unwelcoming scene of throw out. Bits of indigestible breakfast gushing fr mouth made a trail on the sea. Lifeless sit-still on the whacky dive boat though so wanted to join the group in that the Vietnams sugar wreck. Shadow of the ship barely seen beneath our dive boat. Day ended unexpected by pal returning the room when i laid sloppy and said "you are not going to fucking believing me! All DMs quits and packing off!". Stories were murmured all night long. Tat's weird & not happening always indeed.
