Bangkok photos - VisitThailand
Bangkok, the city of angels. People of Thailand is generally helpful to offer for direction even you are not asking for! Taking a boat ride hopping from jetty("pier" in Thai) to jetty alongside of Chao Phraya River is easy, fun and inexpensive to get around. The river is meant so much for the locals, even for visitors if you are venturous. Pier 5(Rachatwong, Chinatown), Pier 6(memorial bridge, closed by market), Pier 8(Grand Palace..Temple "Wat"), Central Pier(bring you back to BTS skytrain). Going by a taxi is sometime slower in Bangkok especially during rush hour. You could be paying higher if taxi driver is not running by meter! Getting around in Bangkok as eazy as getting a cigar! Other than the traditional "tuk-tuk", you can get on the orange color uniform motorist for a short distant.
Suan-Lum Night Bazaar is always my favourite for dinner break. Also not to miss the Silom night market and Patpong street for red light district and bewildering night. Chatuchak Weekend market is the mother of all markets, and that is the place I will visit in my next stay. I miss the shopping, the food and the good gesture of thai!
