We have made it to Sipadan at last! And we have not seen it all after a few days visit.
Signing up for scuba diving by ScubaJunkie, we departed from Sempona sea port and homestayed in Mabul "Resort"(namely Ayung Hayat Resort). Soon to discover the simplicity of this closiest island to Sipadan diving Mecca. Fishermen make up the whole islanders stays along with migrants of philipinno, indonesian and indigenous sea men. Lots of children spread out through the islands to greet you with great smiles!
A great place to forget who you are and where you from! Returning to KL bring me more grateful to all the resources come in handy. A diving trip over Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai that left fond of memories.
Total cost = about RM1500 for 6D5N on a return air ticket(tawau port --> Sempona(1hr) --> Mabul(45min) --> Sipadan(15min). Inclusives of 3-day diving and lodging.
